Save Giri Shivacharyar's Life! Brain Injury Due To Bike Accident

Background:

Giri Shivacharyar is a temple priest at  Draupathi Amman, Mariamman Kovil in Salem.

On 21st August 2022, Giri Shivacharyar was traveling on his bike to complete a Kumbabhishekam in Salem, while riding the bike a cow appeared in front of him out of nowhere. To save the cow, he had to divert which eventually led him to dash a street lamp nearby.

This has resulted in a brain injury for Giri Shivacharyar.

Current Status:

He was admitted in a very critical situation, had they delayed the admission even by 5 mins he would have been no more. On examination, the doctors mentioned that he has severe brain injury and needs to be treated urgently.

Goal of the fundraiser:

So far the family has spent around Rs 2.5L for his treatment. Giri Shivacharyar hails from a very poor priest family in Salem. His father, Mankikanda Shivacharyar, is also a temple priest. We wish to raise Rs 10L for the family, which will help them with the treatment and post-treatment expenses. They say ‘Deivam Manushya Rupena’- God comes in the for of human to help. We now stand before you in need of helping our fellow underprivileged Giri Shivacharyar.
