Help Elderly Mother Of Kerala BJP Worker Who Was Brutally Stabbed

Background:
Sarasamma the elderly mother of a BJP local body poll candidate was brutally stabbed by members from an opposing political ideology outside her home in Pathanamthitta district as the latter celebrated their victory in the recently concluded local body polls.

Her son Sreejith was a BJP candidate in the polls. Following the results, his political workers took out a victory rally in Tiruvalla. The procession soon reached in front of his house where his mother (alone at the time) was standing near the entrance. There they began taunting her and even started attacking the house. When she objected, she was brutally stabbed.

Soaked in blood and having suffered serious injuries on her lungs, she was later rushed to the hospital, where she is in a serious condition.

Goal of fundraiser:

Sarasamma and Sreejith belong to a very poor family, who make their ends meet by working as daily labourers. The family is finding it very hard to pay for her treatment and need an immediate assistance of Rs 2.5 lakh. This amount will help cover all of her ongoing hospital treatment and post discharge medication.
