One of our Friends who met with an accident had profusely bled by the time he was rushed to the Hospital. Since all the hospitals do not have a blood bank, the hospital had to arrange for the blood, by the time they could the patient breathed his last.  This incident forced the initiator to think of using technology to facilitate blood donation in times of emergency.

In a span of 2 months 2000 plus volunteers have joined this group called KP Blood Bank. The volunteers are spread across 20 cities and have already donated 1000 plus bottles of Blood, in times of emergency. The Volunteers donate blood without without expecting any appreciation or monetary benefits for their selfless services to the community.

We also have started conducting workshops, in association with doctors, to create awareness about blood Donations across various cities. The First workshop was done in  Jammu on the 19th of August, 2018. Workshops are already planned in Delhi, Pune, Bangalore, Chandigarh, Mumbai and other major cities across India. 

 

 

KP Blood Bank wants to expand their reach to more and more  people who are in need and to those who can help by being Volunteers. We also want to create awareness about Blood Donations, its need and the benefits associated with Blood Donations.

Each awareness workshop we conduct costs us in terms of Momentos, Space , Logistics, Expert Speakers and more.
